Flanshaw Dam

This small venue serves as the clubs headquarters. The fishery is accessible to all anglers including limited mobility anglers. A key is required to access the secure carpark and to gain entry.

The fishery:

The Dam has 25 pegs and is well stocked with Bream, Roach, Rudd, Perch and Carp. Most fish are caught on the pole or waggler using maggot, worm, caster or pellet in about 1.2 metres of water. Larger carp can be found in the margins or in open water using rod and bomb tactics with larger baits.

How to find:

History:

The dam was a former Mill Dam and received an £8,000 grant from the Environment Agency in 2006 towards the cost of the 2 metre wide access path that now runs around the Dam making it ideal for Anglers with Disabilities. The Clubhouse is used for Junior coaching activities (see Junior Section for details), meetings and social functions.
