Wakefield Angling Club takes pride in hosting a stunning collection of venues available for its members. Throughout the year, we provide numerous competitions, leagues and club matches allowing all of our members the opportunity to take part competitively. Please see here for our annual match fixtures.
Our wide variety of tranquil still-waters, lengths of canal and stretches of river, all within the local area will ensure that there is always an abundance of venues to choose from to suit your angling preferences.
Our club is split into smaller categories which regularly meet for friendly matches. All matches are open to anglers of all abilities. Junior beginner anglers can expect tuition from our competitive junior section.
As part of the community, Wakefield Angling Club is close a partner with local organisations such as “Friends of Newmillerdam”/”Friends of Kettlethorpe Hall” as well as national organisations and agencies such as the Angling Trust.
