Flanshaw Dam

This small venue serves as the club’s headquarters. The fishery is accessible to all anglers including limited mobility anglers. A key is required to access the secure car park and to gain entry. This is at the rear of houses so there is a ban which is, No arrivals before 07:30 and you must leave as the street lights come.

The Fishery

The Dam measures 52 x 34 metres, has 25 pegs and is well stocked with Bream, Roach, Rudd, Perch, Ide and Carp. Most fish are caught using the pole or waggler with maggot, worm, caster or pellet as bait in about 1.2 metres of water.

History

The dam was a former mill dam and received an £8,000 grant from the Environment Agency in 2006 towards the cost of the 2 metre wide access path that now runs around the dam, making it ideal for anglers with disabilities. The club-house is used for Junior coaching activities (see Junior Section for details), meetings and social functions.
